Fantastic Fades
How we gave a men's barber shop a home online and took appointments off their hands.
The challenge
Fantastic Fades operated on walk-ins for several years before moving to an appointment-first model in 2020. Owner John Atkins tracked his appointments by hand with a notebook. He took in requests from customers via text and Instagram. John mentioned that this would take 1-2 hours out of every weeknight, as he would have to sift through several messages requesting appointments and manually check for time conflicts.
What we built
We built Fantastic Fades a website that gives them a digital home. We integrated the appointment system with his payment system, and now customers can book and pay online, saving him hours of manual work. Customers can see what time slots are available and only book on what they see, preventing double bookings from occurring. The website provides links to the social media handles for the shop as well as providing pricing information, which was previously only available in the shop itself. The website is designed to be easily accessible for mobile phones, which most customers were booking from prior to the website's creation.
The results
